BPCC

Bucks Primary Care Collaborative (BPCC) is the Practice Based Commissioning Organisation for 34 GP practices in Wycombe and South Buckinghamshire, serving a population of 305,000.

Commissioning involves assessing the health needs of a population, taking responsibility for ensuring that appropriate services are available to meet those needs and being accountable for the associated health outcomes.

Practice Based Commissioning transfers these responsibilities to primary care clinicians (General Practice).

BPCC was established in 2007 as a commissioning, not-for-profit organisation, following the merger of the Primary Care Collaborative (in Wycombe) and Chiltern & South Bucks Collaborative in order to make Practice Based Commissioning a reality in the South of Buckinghamshire.

The section "Vision, Principles and Values" describes in more detail the vision for BPCC which is for “a healthy future together”. This means working with our patients, Buckinghamshire Primary Care Trust, our hospital colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure that health care services provided are of the best possible quality and value.
